Prawntail is a contemporary jazz piano trio in Brooklyn, NY. Evan Main (piano), Walter Stinson (bass), and Steven Crammer (drums) first played together in 2021, and after developing meaningful cohesion and momentum as a trio for a couple of years, recorded their debut album (Prawntail, Endectomorph Records, 2025). Since 2024, the ensemble has performed at notable New York venues including The Jazz Gallery, CloseUp, and Bar Bayeux. Main, Stinson, and Crammer each write music for the band, and take great pride and inspiration in the process of combining each member’s ideas and personality in a complimentary way.
