The group will perform two series of compositions by Allen Lowe: “Mayday! Mayday! For George Edwards”, a piece in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Mayday demonstrations on the New Haven Green, and “Blues and the Empirical Truth”, a series of pieces based on blues forms from ragtime to street performance to the Delta to '60s New Music.
