Mostly Other People Do the Killing will be joined by trombonist, Sam Kulik for an evening of music from "Disasters Vol. 1 and Vol. 2" albums released on Hot Cup Records. Each composition is named after a town in Pennsylvania where a historical disaster occurred.
Mostly Other People Do the Killing was founded in 2003 by bassist, Moppa Elliott and has existed as a quartet, septet, and trio. The current version of the band features founding member Kevin Shea on drums and Ron Stabinsky on piano who joined the group in 2011. Their most recent release, "Disasters Vol. 1" features the first group of compositions based on historical disasters and "Disasters Vol. 2" was released this past February by Elliott's quintet "Advancing on a Wild Pitch" featuring Sam Kulik.
