“The unruly beauty of Mr. Lowe’s music has long been grounded in specific lineages yet also consistently blurs styles and eras.” - Larry Blumenfeld, The Wall Street Journal Sept 24, 2024

Louis Armstrong's America is a progressive look at the musical eras through which Armstrong lived. The music is all original and composed by Allen Lowe and includes works composed with reference to: James Reese Europe, John Coltrane, Duke Ellington, Jelly Roll Morton, Ornette Coleman, Albert Ayler, Aaron Copland, Jaki Byard, Frank Zappa, and others.
