Born in Salerno, he studied double bass at S.Cecilia Accademy of Rome with Franco Petracchi e Federico Rossi. In the capital he had his first meaning jazzistic experience playng with Eddie Palermo, Marcello Rosa, Cicci Santucci. From 1984 to 1990 he plays with Romano Mussolini, with whom he take part of many jazz festivals and international tours. From 1987 to 1992 he is artistic director of Salerno jazz festival. In 1993 he come back in Salerno, where he find a progressive and effervescent jazzistic ambient . Start to play with Daniele Sepe, making many records and tours all around Europe. At present he plays with Francesco Nastro trio, and musicians like Giovanni Amato, Alfonso Deidda, Pietro Condorelli, Carla Marciano, Miles Griffith.

Required as sideman, he playd with many important musicians: Lew Tabackin, Bob Mover, Gary Bartz, Gianni Basso, Dave Sunborn, Jim Snidero, Paolo Fresu, Irio De Paula, Stefano Battaglia, Valery Ponomarev, Bruce Forman, Joe Magnarelli, Antonio Faraň, Tony Scott, Claudio Fasoli, Rosario Giuliani, Fabrizio Bosso, Roberto Ottaviano, Gary Smulian, George Benson, Jimmy Owens, Pat La Barbera, Lester Bowie, Dado Moroni, Adrienne West, Maurizio Giammarco, Enrico Pierannunzi, Stefano Bollani, Rita Marcotulli, Helen Merrill, Eddie Daniels, Eliot Zigmund, Benny Golson and more.

He recorded with Romano Mussolini, Irio De Paula, Flavio Boltro, Daniele Sepe, Nino De Rose, Leo Aniceto, Carlo Lomanto, Fausto Ferraiolo, Carla Marciano, Pietro Vitale, Ondina Sannino, Francesco Nastro, Francesco D’Errico and Alan Gross.

As a leader he recorded one album for Italian label Ariston, named “Do it”.
