The New Haven Improvisers Collective presents Quantum Decoherence, a new composition for improvisers. Quantum Decoherence deals with relationships and entanglements between musicians, the effects of environment on the music and music collapsing into classical forms that delight and mystify. The New Haven Improvisers Collective continues to bring the wonder of spontaneous music to an unsuspecting elm city. A growing number of musicians and composers pass through the group bringing insights and enthusiasm from distant corners of the music world. Monthly open workshops welcome new members, new instruments and new ideas. The annual visit to Firehouse 12 showcases a core of the group, presents major new works, and holds a few surprises.
