The New Haven Improvisers Collective is building an impressive body of work while being fed by an ever expanding list of musicians and composers based in or passing through New Haven. New compositional methods are being explored through experimentation with improvisational forms and structures while searching for musical moments that both transcend and reflect the world we live in. NHIC brings a refreshing exuberance to the task and has fun along the way.
An evening of new music will be presented at Firehouse 12 with a nod to the past and an unflinching eye toward the future.
